Write the way you think
Three kinds of page, one notebook. Start handwritten, carry on typing, and sketch it out when words won't do.
- Handwrite with an Apple Pencil, a stylus, a mouse or your finger — pen, highlighter and eraser, on lined, grid, dotted or blank paper.
- Pinch to zoom from 100% to 500% and write small; a hand resting on the glass doesn't leave a mark.
- Typed pages with headings, checklists, highlights, tables and pictures — paste a screenshot straight in.
- Whiteboards for the open canvas: sketch, diagram and plan without a page edge.
- Link one page to another, and see everything that links back to the page you're on.
A place for everything
Shelves for each client, site or year — and pages that can hold pages, so a plan keeps its visits underneath it.
- Notebooks for the long-running things, single pages for a quick note, and folders three levels deep.
- Pages inside pages, also three deep, with the whole tree in the sidebar.
- Tags on anything, favourites for what you use daily, and Recent for what you opened last — whichever folder it lives in.
- Duplicate a notebook or a page, and move or copy pages between notebooks (their pictures come along).
- Templates for the notebooks and pages you start again and again, shared with the team if you like.
Search that reaches inside
Typed words, the text inside imported PDFs, your tags — and your handwriting, once AI has read it.
- One search box across every folder, with the matching words shown in place.
- PDF text is searched as well as your own — the contract you dropped in is findable by its wording.
- Filled-in forms are searchable by the answers typed into them.
- Ask a question across your notes and get an answer with the pages it came from.

Shared exactly as far as you say
Private by default. Share with the team, with one person, or with someone outside by link.
- Private, workspace-wide, or per person with view or edit rights.
- View-only links for people outside, with an expiry date.
- Roles decide who can create, share, publish and delete — set per person in the workspace.
- Deleted notebooks and pages wait in the Trash for 30 days, and restoring puts a page back where it was.
- Every workspace is isolated, and files only ever reach people who can open the notebook they're in.
